Living Waters: Fruitful Life 3

In this, the final installment of "Fruitful Life", I would like to take a look at the most important part of a plant making fruit.  Going back to my tomato plant I noticed one very obvious thing about the fruit bearing process.  I had to water the plant twice, sometimes three times, a day.  The plant was just sucking down water like you wouldn't believe.  It was in this moment that I came to the last realization, to bear fruit we need an over abundance of water.  Furthermore, we need fresh water to be poured into us on a regular basis or we will dry up faster than a cup of water in Phoenix.

Let's see what Jesus says about water and look at the woman at the well.
Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:13-14.
How awesome is this, just like my observation about the plant needing water constantly, Jesus shows us that the water that he pours into our lives is never ending.  It is eternal!!!   To access this holy wellspring of water we only need Jesus and then let Him work in your life.

So I realize that this was a shorter post than most but it's the simplest and therefore the most profound.  Jesus is the wellspring of living water and all we must do is believe in Him.  In short, the next time your life, your soul, your heart feels dry; seek Jesus.
